What is an EHC Home Inspection?

A home inspection consists of a professional, unbiased and unemotional report on the exteriors, structure, roofing, mechanical & electrical systems, plumbing system and interiors of the dwelling, including all maintenance and repairs required to bring the dwelling to an acceptable level of safety. All inspectors at Essential Home Consulting are qualified with years of professional experience.

The inspection includes a complete visual assessment and written report of:

Complete Exterior

Complete Interior

Do You Need a Home Inspection?

Essential Home Consulting recommends that any structure be inspected before purchase. Inspections provide the buyer with that important peace of mind about their investment. We also suggest that anyone selling their home have an inspection first, to make them aware of any fixable imperfections, thus increasing the sale value of the home in question. Inspectors at Essential Home Consulting will visually inspect every accessible aspect of the dwelling.

Why Hire Essential Home Consulting?

Essential Home Consulting has worked in the residential home inspection industry for years. Essential Home Consulting insists that their inspectors pass a twelve-week intensive government approved diploma course as well as undergo extensive field training. Nothing will be overlooked, and, rest assured, when our inspection is complete you will be able to make a qualified decision regarding your purchase. In addition, inspectors at Essential Home Consulting work for YOU, the owner, not the Sales Rep.

Do Inspectors at Essential Home Consulting Carry Insurance?

All inspectors at Essential Home Consulting are covered by the prerequisite insurance required by the home inspection industry. This is the Errors and Omissions Insurance. This insurance protects the buyer and the real estate agent from any serious ommission by the inspector. All inspectors at Essential Home Consulting work diligently to prevent such an occurence. Make sure your home inspector carries the required insurance before you make your hiring decision.

What About the Report?

At the end of the inspection, a comprehensive 14-page quality written report will be presented to you on the same day and explained in detail. The report binder is sectioned into various areas, which divide the home inspection into understandable parts. Each section is detailed and contains drawings to help you understand each area of your home.

What is the Price of a Home Inspection?

Our prices are very competitive compared to other inspection companies. Call our head office to find out how the different types of home inspections that we offer are priced.

What are the Different Types of Inspections?

Pre-Purchase Inspection (Full Inspection)

An inspection that takes place for the purchaser/client, usually after an offer to purchase the home has been presented with a condition of a home inspection being completed.

Pre-Listing Inspection

An inspection conducted on the homeowner’s behalf to discover problems and offer corrective solutions to the problems in the home, prior to listing the house for sale.

Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI)

This inspection falls under the New Home Warranty Program and it is conducted with the purchaser present along with the builder.

One-Year Warranty Inspection

This inspection is for new homes built under the New Home Warranty Program. As requested by the program, an inspection is completed before the home is one year old.

Homeowner’s Inspection

An inspection conducted for the homeowner, generally used to determine a maintenance budget.

Seasonal Inspection

This is an inspection that is conducted at the beginning of spring, or the beginning of winter, to remind the homeowner of seasonal maintenance required on a home.

Walk Through Inspection

Similar to a homeowner’s inspection, except this inspection requires the client to make notes, instead of the inspector. No report book is written and therefore the cost is significantly less.
